Welcome to Bed Bug Laundry Toronto! Here are some important policies and procedures to keep in mind. If you have any questions, please call or email us.

Minimum Job Charge

• Minimum Charge: $160. If your order is below this amount, you will be charged a flat fee of $160. Most clients easily meet this minimum.

Preparing Your Items

• Remove Items: Ensure you remove any items that can melt or stain (cosmetics, candy, pens, lip balm, etc.) from pockets, purses, suitcases, etc. We are not responsible for damage caused by such items left inside your heat-treated items.

• Heat Treatment: We treat items at 180°F for at least 60 minutes. Be aware that this might cause scuffing or damage. For HC treatment, note that the glue on shoe soles may melt and can be easily repaired.

Liability and Access

• No Access: Due to liability insurance requirements, you cannot access your items at our facility. Identify and keep essential items with you before pick-up.

• Event Considerations: If you have important events (vacations, weddings, interviews), keep those items to avoid confusion with pick-up items.

Delivery and Storage

• Full Delivery: We do not accommodate partial deliveries. All items will be delivered together.

• Free Storage: First two months of storage after pick-up are free. After that, storage is billed at $1.50/day until delivery.

Special Treatments

• Rugs and Books: Rugs (up to 6’x8’) and fabric spines of hardcover books can be treated at $4.50/lb if infested with bed bugs.

• Miscellaneous Items: We can treat items like records, photo frames, etc. We cannot treat electronics like computers, laptops, cell phones, or cameras.

Potential Issues

• Mold or Fungus: Mold or fungus may grow in shoes during storage, especially gym shoes. Be aware of this possibility.

• Labeling Items: Use your discretion when labeling items. Foldable clothes and linens marked as “TO” will be changed to “TF” and folded after treatment.

• Hat Treatment: We do not treat hats that can be crushed, such as fedoras, straw hats, and top hats. Skullcaps and baseball caps are fine.

General Considerations

• Compression and Crushing: Due to the large volume of orders and plastic bag transportation, expect items to be compressed or crushed during pick-up and delivery.

• Liability: Our aggregate liability for any cleaning, heat treatment, or other services will not exceed the amount paid by the customer for such services. We are not liable for any consequential, incidental, indirect, special, or punitive damages.
