Our team will take care of the preparation steps so your exterminator can focus on spraying.
Strip mattresses and box springs of all bedding, then lift and stand them against the wall.
Remove contents from dressers, nightstands, and armoires so furniture can be treated.
Empty closets and bag all items so they are ready for treatment.
Bag and seal all miscellaneous belongings (books, electronics, photo frames, etc.) and label them clearly.
Remove excess clutter and discard cardboard boxes (a favourite hiding spot for bed bugs).
Move furniture 16–24 inches away from walls.
Remove outlet and light switch covers so exterminators can spray inside the walls.
Take down artwork, mirrors, and curtains; photos are taken of each wall and window so everything can be put back properly after treatment.
Vacuum baseboards, cracks, crevices, carpets, and rugs to reduce bug activity.
Bag and seal all items, then place them in the middle of the room.
Washers and Dryers: Clothing, linens, curtains, and bedding are washed if dirty and always dried on high heat.
Heat Chamber: Items that cannot safely go in a washer or dryer (shoes, handbags, belts, leather jackets, fur, and dry-clean-only clothing) are treated in a professional heat chamber.
Dry Cleaning: Done only if items are dirty after heat chamber treatment.
Air out the home by opening windows and doors.
Clean surfaces, especially in bathrooms and kitchens.
Wash bedding every 3–5 days after treatment.
Vacuum the whole home daily for at least 4 days following treatment.
Use mattress and box spring encasements to help prevent reinfestation.
